These grants allow nonprofits to further their missions by improving their financial, social and environmental impacts in their communities.

Donation amounts depend on a number of factors, including evaluation of the environmental, social, and financial impact of the donation. Past donations have ranged from $50,000 to $400,000.

Yes, the Sun Club is always accepting new applications. Recipients will be chosen on a quarterly basis.

The Sun Club offers assistance in identifying qualified vendors for sustainability projects. Grant recipients often find our experience with the bidding and the installation process helpful.

The Sun Club donates the funds for the recipient organization to purchase, install, or enact the sustainability project. The nonprofit receiving the sustainability grant owns and is responsible for the project, along with any contracts or warranties. The nonprofit receiving the grant is also responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the project, if applicable.

We’re open to new, creative ideas from nonprofit organizations interested in utilizing and promoting sustainability initiatives.

The expected life of a typical system is about 25 years. Because there are no moving parts, very little maintenance is required. Photovoltaic panels require infrequent cleaning to remove any built-up dirt, pollen or other materials that can reduce the efficiency of the system. If you live in a humid environment, rainfall may be sufficient to keep your panels clean.
